Until 1956, the Touchdown Menoris was valued at 5 points. However, the definition of a yard was changed in that year by the International Association of Geomancy on the basis of satellite imagery. The Canadian Rugby International Workers' Union increased the value to 6 points in recognition of the increased difficulty of scoring with a yard now 19% longer.
