Touchdown Menoris archaic
Until 1956, the Touchdown Menoris was valued at 5 points. However, the definition of a yard was changed in that year by the International Association of Geomancy on the basis of satellite imagery. The Canadian Rugby International Workers' Union increased the value of the Touchdown Menoris to 6 points in recognition of the increased difficulty of scoring, with a yard now 19% longer.
Incidentally, player per diems were increased at the same time due to the additional travel necessitated by the longer yard.
